The Journal of Phillip Grant - Nov 15

Hey, where's the family journal gone?
Don't worry Dad, I got you covered.
Since when?
Since I decided we need more parties.

Sheesh, what a fuss.  As far as I could tell, Dad never really liked the whole journal thing.  He only did it because Granddad asked him to.

At any rate, I've decided that we do need more parties around here.  With lots of girls if I get my say.  But I'll invite the relatives too, I asked Uncle Henry, Uncle Rick, Uncle Jack and Aunt Laura over for this one. But I got a couple of the girls over too, I'm hoping the parents are too busy to notice.

Everyone was having such a great time downstairs that only the family came up to eat.

Poor Aunt Laura.  Uncle Sam died earlier today and she's heartbroken.  Dad says they were teen sweethearts and that was a long time to know someone.

Dad had a chat to Aunt Laura, but I think it's time that will help her.

Some people really need a personal stylist. Look at what Marta and Wyatt are wearing to the pool. I'm not that into clothes but those [shudder]

My cousin Tate at least dresses for the pool.  He's a young adult now and has a girlfriend.  The family doesn't know much about her.

Now let me show you two of the cutest teens I know.

This is one of Tate's little sisters.  Tosha Grant has hit teen.  She's inherited Grandmom Rachel's hair, just like me.

Tosha's twin sister Keri.  Why do such pretty girls have to be my cousins?

Held a big beach party and invited almost every teen in town.  We all deserve FUN - too much homework around here.  I brought a radio, and we were dancing and drinking until dark.

This is Rick Walker, the second child of that couple oddly dressed at the pool.  He seems to do better at dressing then his dad.

Eric is still madly in love with Katie.

She's inappropriate and hot-headed...he may have an interesting future.

As I say, madly in love.  They are now engaged and Eric think they might have gotten just a little carried away with the celebration.

  1. OMG, ROFL @ Marta and her socks and Wyatt and his leopard pants. I thought he was Jon Lesson there for a moment.

    Love the green dress.

By carried away with the celebration, I take it there is going to be a shotgun wedding very soon?

    Poor Laura.

  2. What a great update! Party Phillip taking charge. I like it.

Laura looks good as an elder. Good for Indy to console her. It's weird seeing young Tate but good.

Katie is hot-headed and inappropriate? Oh man. That's trouble.

Nice pants, Wyatt. And Marta what is it with you and the socks. Sheesh, woman.

  3. Well, since Eric and Katie still live in the main house, there doesn't have to be a shotgun wedding. But they may have a small ceremony - you know I don't think they've seen her parents (or sibs) since she moved in. Gotta do something about that.

I laughed at Wyatt too. Zebra pants - what a thing to wear.

Indeed, Laura being the oldest of Sam's children was the first to lose a spouse and is likely the first to pass on herself. Chance never moved out so Laura does have her son and grandchildren to keep her company.

  4. Heh. They're beautiful and don't look anything alike.

  5. Sorry Pib, I did intend to. I was thinking how pretty they are and how if they had the same hair and eyebrows they would look almost identical. Same eyes, nose and mouth. The only difference I see is their cheeks.

  6. Seems Chrysame and I have very different opinions here.

  7. No, you're right, Dee. If I look closer they definitely have a lot of the same features. The hair is just so different.

  8. :) I see that you've temporarily disagreed then agreed. The girls do have very similar faces and *very* different hair colour/eyebrows.

The only thing I've done with them is send them to the mirror to find prettier hairstyles. They defaulted to long straight hair like their mom, which gets boring if EVERYONE wears it like that.

  9. I dislike that as well, PiB. I'd love it if the game would randomize hair more.

  10. I have to leave now and sleep. Be back tomorrow.

  11. Yes a bit more random would be good. Like I need to change Katie's hair at some point. Originally all three of Macy's girls had the same style as mom but I changed one - the one that married a Leman boy.

    Katie's traits - absent-minded, virtuoso, handy, inappropriate and hot-headed. A fascinating combo.

  12. That could be a volatile marriage.

  13. It might be. Probably better than Rick and Patricia though. Poor Rick. I keep hoping that one of them will move out of their own accord.

Finally added another couple of families to the Family Ties page. Including the Walkers. :)

  14. Oh, cool! Thanks, PiB!

  15. Hellooooooo out there. Pib, did you know no one can click on your blog at the forum with those little mushroom looking thingies covering the click place?

  16. And there I thought I'd placed them somewhere safe and without buttons. Ah well.

Anyone else get disappointed when there is a notice about a new comment and it's spam? I had to clean 2 spam today

  17. I saw one comment and assumed it was spam because of the long blue line. So far i haven't received any spam. Now that I said that, I will.

  18. Yeah, I get disappointed when I see it's just spam. You know when I had to abandon my Bianca/Josh game she was pregnant again with twins. *sigh* I gave in and was punished by the Sims 3 gods.

  19. Oooh that hurts Chrysame.

I have a question that has nothing to do with any of the blogs. Can anyone help me find death fish in Riverview? Pretty please.

  20. Nevermind, I just found the answer on the forum.

  21. This site is very helpful with all things Sims 3.

  22. Thanks Chrysame. I'll go there and bookmark it. I was surprised I was able to find the answer at the forum. Usually I can't find what I'm looking for when using the search thing.

  23. I love Snooty Sims too.
Snooty which has much useful information.

Carl's is an excellent site too.

  24. The search function on the forums is awful. Okay, I'm going to try to mess around in CAS and see what happens. I need to make a new girl for some lucky male sim.

I can't decide on traits. You guys pick one trait each and I'll use it.

  25. I forgot about Snooty. I used to go there all the time.

  26. A brave hopeless romantic. Heehee. Done.

  27. Yeah, she can fight the burglar before she falls in love with him and she can put out the fire before the firefighter gets there and have time to fall for him.

  28. Since you are both online now, I should mention. Husband is leaving this evening for Brisbane. Tomorrow he gets a major op done on his hip. It's more than a little scary but it should improve his movement a lot from everything he's read. He's got serious arthritis in that hip joint.

If all goes well, he spends most of next week in hospital then comes home. I've made arrangements at work to take that week off when he's home, though he should already be moving better.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Will be thinking of him and hoping all goes well.
I know how that arthritis feels. It can be very painful.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'll keep him in my thoughts, PiB. It's good you can be home with him and pamper him a bit after the procedure.

I'll keep you in my thoughts as well. It isn't easy waiting while someone we love is undergoing an operation.

As for other traits? I haven't decided and I'm at that point now. Oh oh.

  31. awww The twins look great! I loled at his whinging about them being cousins! xD

    ReplyDelete
  32. Thanks Berry. Phillip has two priorities in life just now; parties and girls. Cute girls he can't date would be something to whinge about. :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hi PiB, thought I might start here with Phillip Grant.
Should be an interesting read if his main priorities are parties and girls. lol ;)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Teen boy, it seems natural that he thinks parties and girls are the most important things in life. :)

I see you've been busy this morning, you've left me lots of lovely messages. :)
